Shotcrete refers to a specially formulated concrete that is applied under pressure through special nozzles, sprayed at high speed and energy onto a surface. During application, the concrete is compacted and adheres to the surface it is applied to (such as rock mass, walls, excavations, etc.). The properties of shotcrete are similar to those of conventional poured concrete, and they should be tested and controlled using the same or similar procedures. In application technology, we distinguish between dry and wet methods of application.
